Calculator inputs
The calculator code processes the values you enter in your browser. It does not submit food labels, dog names, weights, prescriptions or notes to our server. Opening a page still makes ordinary requests for the page and its assets.
Optional saving on this device
Local saving is off until you enable it. Your preference is stored in localStorage; dog profiles, saved input/result snapshots and note drafts are stored in IndexedDB in this browser. The selected dog is stored for the current tab in sessionStorage. These are browser storage mechanisms, not an online account.
With saving enabled and a dog selected, note drafts save after you stop typing. Other results save only when you choose to save them. Earlier records and draft versions remain in the journal and its complete backup. Choosing another profile does not merge the dogs’ histories.
We do not sync this journal to a server or another device. Anyone with access to the same browser profile can read it. Private browsing, clearing site data or browser storage cleanup can erase local records. Download a complete JSON backup before relying on a history, changing browsers or clearing site data. Pausing saving retains existing records; re-enable it to read or back them up.
Moving a plan between tools
Choosing the meal-to-bowl action places that plan’s target and food inputs in this tab’s sessionStorage so the next page can load them. They are not put in a public URL or sent as a form request. A link to a saved journal record contains its random record ID only and works with that browser’s local journal.
Files, printing and sharing
Result cards, CSV files, PDF printouts and JSON backups contain the details you chose to include. They are created in your browser and then managed by your browser, device or chosen recipient. Keep them private where appropriate. Import reads a backup locally and adds missing records; conflicting record IDs stop the import without replacing existing records.
Copying a plan or opening a share sheet is your choice. We do not automatically send a plan to ChatGPT. If you paste or share it into another service, that service handles the information under its own terms.
Website delivery and performance analytics
Our hosting provider and Cloudflare receive normal web requests, including connection information such as an IP address and the requested URL, to deliver and protect the site. Cloudflare Web Analytics is enabled: its browser beacon sends page and performance measurements to Cloudflare’s analytics endpoint. The calculator and journal code does not add form values or record contents to those measurements. See Cloudflare’s Web Analytics documentation and Cloudflare’s privacy policy for its processing.
The public calculator flow does not require comments, Gravatar, registration or password resets. WordPress login and administration use their own authentication cookies for authorized site administrators; those functions are separate from local dog profiles.

Contact [email protected] about this page or the website. Email itself sends the information you include to the mailbox provider and site operator. Do not email a private journal unless you intend to share it.
