Dog Calculators

Disclaimer

Dog Calculators provides food-label arithmetic, rough age comparisons and tools for recording plans and observations. It does not diagnose disease, choose medicines, prescribe exercise or formulate a balanced diet.

Individual advice and arithmetic

The healthy-adult energy estimate is a starting point. Puppies, pregnancy, lactation, illness and intentional weight change need an individual plan. A veterinarian may provide a calorie target that the tool can convert into portions. A precise calculation does not establish that a target or food is appropriate.

The prescription converter only converts an amount already prescribed for the animal, using the product strength entered. It cannot validate that prescription, choose frequency or decide how to split a tablet. Confirm unclear instructions with the prescriber or dispensing team.

Editorial responsibility

Dog Calculators is maintained by a technical/editorial team, not presented as a veterinary practice. Sources are linked for checking. A dated editorial correction means the stated source and wording work was performed; it does not mean an independent veterinarian reviewed the article. We do not list a clinical reviewer where none has been documented.

Records and urgent situations

A journal entry records what you entered and does not interpret severity. Do not delay urgent veterinary care to complete a calculator or note. Local records can be lost when browser storage is cleared; keep a backup as explained in the privacy policy.
